Is it bad that all my submissions to this blog are about Pocahontas. I don’t even think I payed attention during other movies as a child.

When I was a kid, I memorized all the words to every song on that damned movie soundtrack (minus that savages one… thank goodness) and taught all the kids on the play ground those songs. I held classes under the play equipment and everything.
I’ll repeat Jal in saying “i will forever have a deep and complicated relationship with that movie.”
it’s a deeply racist movie, but it’s literally all I had when I was little to relate to.
